I do not believe in Santa Claus but I think like some other well-known players here that it would be nice if the developers, if they wish to work to improve the game to recognize the real value of the skippers to change the mode of calculated points as they did 3 years ago by making it more difficult to gain points for players who exceed the quota of 12 daily regattas.
This will not prevent those who are affected by the addiction related to this game from doing more regattas or throwing more boats. This will not prevent all those who come here only to play the naval battle to continue, so the site would have no decrease in the number of connections that are the livelihood of the makers of the game.
I know some people will be opposed to such a change but I think a game that does not evolve eventually become tiresome and I know some very good players who have stopped participating for this reason, not to mention the eternal problem of hackers and bad application of some rules that we know will never be resolved.
I move this topic here so that it is better visible to everyone.
Beyond 680 opponents/week: 1 point for the winner of a regatta 0 for the 2nd -1 for the 3rd -2 for the 4th -3 for the 5th -4 for the 6th -5 for the 7th -6 for the 8th
There would be another simpler way to modify and make more equitable the points system for every challenge, it would be to simply apply the real model of the ISAF fleet regattas. It would then be the skipper who scores the least points by performing the 85 (or more) regattas that would be the champion.
"Appendix A SCORING 55 A4.1 Each boat starting and finishing and not thereafter retiring, being penalized or given redress shall be scored points as follows: Finishing place Points First 1 Second 2 Third 3 Fourth 4 Fifth 5 Sixth 6 Seventh 7 Each place thereafter Add 1 point"
